How it works

Three steps. One plain-dollar answer.

  1. Scan or upload your bill

A recent electricity or gas bill, PDF or photo. Our robot reads your tariff, your rates and your real usage.

  2. The Wizard re-prices the market

Your usage runs against every published offer for your area, with supply charges, time-of-use rates and solar feed-in.

  3. You get your reading

In about five minutes: your best options and the yearly saving, in dollars. Then it re-checks every day.

How it works

What you get

A reading you can actually read.

Every plan ranked on your real usage, a plain-English report you can keep, and a market that's watched for you every day. Use the arrows to see each screen full size.

  • The Wizard's Reading, the energy savings report: an estimated saving of $720 a year (30% less), the recommended plan, and your current plan's yearly cost of $2,390 against $1,669.
  • How electricity prices are moving: a line chart of each retailer's cheapest yearly cost over three weeks, against a dashed line for what you pay now, $2,377 a year.
  • Ask Wizz Kidd: the question 'Which plan suits my solar?' and the answer, worked from the bill's 1,214 kWh over 91 days, about $720 a year less on a cheaper plan.
  • The BillWizard dashboard: scan or upload your energy bill, a cheaper path through the jungle worth about $720 a year, and the electricity and gas price trackers.

Why us

Many comparison sites work for retailers. We work from your bill.

Many comparison services are paid by the retailers they recommend, and Australia's consumer watchdog has taken comparison sites to court over misleading claims. We built the opposite: no commissions, the whole published market, and your data kept in Australia.

Why we're different

"I take no gold from any tribe."
